The year 2001 is a busting out year for Jeff's vacations. Jeff took a road trip to Wisonsin
the week of May 6th through May 14th from Indianapolis. Besides Jeff
on this trip was Pam Sheets, her son Ryan and Ryans friend Thomas.

Winsonsin is a beautiful state. The main noticable item is that it is strangly clean.

| Pam shown here whipping up some vittles for us before a heding out. We are out most of the time. One day we grilled.
Pam brought a small grill with us which fit perfectly on the patio. The condo had grills, but we were onteh second
floor and did not want to run up and down the stairs. There were many small diners and grills serving wonderful
food at a very low cost. A favorite of Pam's was the fried smelt. |

microwave, dishwasher and all the required aminaityies. |

 |
| The condo had two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed (pictured) and one with two twin beds. Each had a large
color TV, dressers and chairs in addition to their own bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. There were sliding glass doors
in each bedroom opening to a patio overlooking the gold course. |

| Jeff decided to impress the chicks at the greenbay mall by cruising on the kiddie rides. |
 |
| At the mall in Green Bay, Pam was crusing on the bike checking out the locals. I think they were checking her out
too. |
 |
| Pam decided to cruise the stores looking for some items. The stores were clean and the clerks freindly. |
 |
| Pam shown here as she inspects the fine print of the local goods. |
 |
| Holy cripes! Pam hs a new toe ring. We visited a small hippie shop were Thomas bought more candles and Pam purchased
this toe ring. |
 |
| Thomas would not stop buying candles. Everywhere we went he bought a candle almost. Here Pam and Ryan sit outside
the hippie shop waiting for him to complete his purchase. |

| Seagulls on the breakers. There were thousands of gulls out by the lighthouse. As Pam and I walked out on the breakers
to the lighthouse we found the walk more and more covered by bird do. So we never got all the way out to the lighthouse.
We were afraid we were going to get hit by a 'bomb'. |

Manatowoc Park
North of Two Rivers, there is a small park which is located adjacent to Lake Michigan. We were thinking of grilling
up some grub there until we saw the number of bugs flying in the air. It must have been the spring breading time
for this particular insect. There were millions. But that did not prevent us from walking around the area. We kept
our mouth closed when possible.

 |
Pam and I had breakfast early one morning at the 'Kosi Café' in Michicot. We parked on the main street and
walk across. There was virtually no traffic. After a good breakfast we walking to the river which also ran along
the main road. This is the Michicot River, which emptied into Lake Michigan just north of the town of Two Rivers.
This is a very pretty area, with small waterfalls, covered bridge and a park. |
 |
| Here Pam is standing on the beach where a small creek which comes out of the hills, empties into Lake Michigan.
In this creek just prior to taking this picture, we saw three fish, each over 18 inches long. |

Senic Overlook of Green Bay from Door County
While traveling in Door Country, we came upon a senic overlook of Green Bay.

of Michigan. This photo was taken from an observation platform. |
 |
| Thomas on the left, Ryan on the right. |
 |
| This is the country road leading to the scenic overlook. I thought it looked very beautiful in its own right. The
road is lined with nice woods on one side and a tree lined farm field on the other. All around the country were
stone fences lining farm fields. These stone farm fences were probably made many, many years ago. This is based
on the condition of some of the wall area. |
 |
| Pam and Jeff at overlook sitting on a tree branch that made a natural seat. To our back is Green Bay, and just
behind us is the very high cliff straight down into the bay. In some areas like this the bay is hard to see due
to the trees, but it is there. |
 |
| A view of the hills at the scenic overlook area of Door County. This location was beautiful. The rugged hills were
dense with trees with very little ground vegetation due to the thick upper layer of leaves and pine. This made
walking very easy around the top of the ridges. The sides however, as can be seen from this photo, were extremely
high, steep, rocky and tree filed. A fall from this distance would be very painful, if you could still feel the
pain. At the bottom of this is Green Bay. |

| Chicago skyline while waiting in a large traffic jam. Blows big time. We encountered traffic from Milwaukee to
south of Chicago, a total about approximate 3 hours of traffic. Bummer. |
 |
| Traffic, just not for breakfast anymore. |
