The first activity day we took a guided tour. Our tour guide was a native Hawaiian named Shannon O'Brian who had been giving tours since the age of 19, about 22 years. The tour bus was not the high end, but the quality of his tour was tops. He knew many places, and many folks. Many times throughout the tour as he was talking he would say something like 'Every body turn to the right and wave there goes my sister and daughter shopping.' I bet he said there goes so in so at least 5 times. He was nice, he was knowledgeable, and he was pleasant.

| Polynesian Cultural Center As the different cultures enter for the start of the many shows, they all come into the main area on boats, some dancing their native dances. | |
| Here the girls are a dancing. All workers are authentic natives of the culture they represent. They get a free education by the Mormons, and in return work for a set time period at the cultural center. |
